On Sat 19th October 2019, Scouts, Explorers & Leaders from Sutton Coldfield East District participated in the 62nd/23rd Jamboree On The Air/Jamboree On The Internet weekend event at the 17th S/C East Scout HQ, All Saints, Sutton Coldfield. At one stage there were over 50 people in the room. Once again we are amazed at how all the Scouts, Explorers & Leaders in our District pulled together to make events such as this a great success. We also received a visit from Ray, our District chairman!

Although the radio conditions were a little flat, during the afternoon we managed to make contact with over 40 countries using Skype, WebChat (ScoutLink), TeamSpeak & Zello communications. We also ran several small bases on knots, semaphore, morse code, PMR radio, PC’s & electronics.
We hope to participate in the event again in 2020.
