London Monopoly 2022

The districts Explorer Scouts enjoyed one of their first annual events back since the start of Coronavirus!

The competition spans over 9 hours with Explorers racing across London in groups, trying to visit as many places on the monopoly board all while collecting points along the way.

The teams were given forfeits to carry with them throughout the day; Gordon the Whale, saxophones and one group guitars and microphones. They all attracted quite a bit of attention getting on the hot and stuffy tubes, with one group even being asked to perform for an influencer.

It was a brilliant weekend, the Explorers took pictures with police, random members of the public and at landmarks such as Buckingham Palace and Wembley Stadium! One team even committed to buying matching outfits which they wore throughout the day.

Although they all gave their best effort, only one team scored within the top 100 teams with the others scoring zero points as they hadn’t submitted their photos.

We look forward to attending the event next year, hopefully scoring some actual points!
