Sutton Coldfield East Leaders Awarded QSA and KSA
It was a great week for Scouting in Sutton Coldfield East as two leaders accepted the highest awards of Scouting – the Queen and Kings Scout Award!
Aaron Williams (Focus Explorers) and Rohan Dodhia (11th Scout Group) accepted their awards within the grounds of Windsor Castle, parading to the sound of the Scouts Marching Band on a sunny day in Windsor. After a three year hiatus due to the pandemic, the event was attended by the Chief Scout Bear Grylls and representatives of the Royal Family, of whom presented over a thousand awards to Scouters who have achieved the award since 2020.
Aaron and Rohan are two of the only handful of Scout Leaders from Sutton Coldfield East who have worked towards the award in the last ten years. They wanted to encourage anyone who’s under 25 and in Sutton Coldfield East to give it a go as it’s a great achievement to mark your time in Scouting!
